As the title of the thread says" members with 1000rwhp " I think we can all agree the whipple and KB can easily make 1000rwhp ( time slips are for a different thread)

NOT IN A HELLCAT A8, stop the crap, we are not talking other platforms.
There was a Whipple A8 Hellcat that ran 9.11 without Nitrous. Here's the article that was done on it earlier this year.

https://www.hotrod.com/articles/1140-plus-rwhp-2015-dodge-challenger/

Also, I've run a couple 9.3's @ 152 in 2500+ DA on my first few passes with my Whipple setup and I'm just getting started. For the moment, I'm not as quick as my 9.132 stock blower pass but that should change real soon. I'm just waiting for a more consistent track surface to work with.

Timeslips? See attached for my 9.3's.

Here is the reality with the Whipple and KB. They hit so hard off the line that you can't 60' with them. So you have to turn them down to get them to hook. What does that do???? It kills your 1/4 time. I make over 30 mph on the back half. 1.40 60' is the best I have ever been able to get out of my car. The stock S/C is leaps and bound way better than the Whipple and KB. This is info coming from a guy that has done everything you can to make the Whipple fast.

I have watched WhipCats build post on the other forum. He kept doing everything I had already tried a year before he did it. I was one of the 1st to do so many things to this car that others are now trying.

What I would tell everyone after 3 years of RND is pulley, tune, run e85, cold air intake, and use light weight wheels and tires. That is all you need to do to the car. Stock exhaust and stock gear will net you the best results.
This is what I've always suspected with those big blowers. Bigger is not always better, learned that years ago from a buddy who went to a 4.2L (or was it 4.5L) KB. He had to lock the bypass open to drive it on the street meaning it made less power than what he started with unless he was at the drag strip on Q16 or something.

The 3.0L IHI blower might be a nice compromise if they ever come available for individual purchase.

I stand corrected a hellcat with a race motor with a ported whipple went quicker than 9.50 (hotrod article). HPindy is right, lets start a separate post on your build. I would love to hear the specifics of the build.

Trust me your allot smarter than the people that need moderation.

The only contribution Coles posts give to the hellcat community is that Stupid can afford a hellcat also. So everyone has a chance

Whip,

I never thought you were one of the mean spirited people here, I was dead wrong. I don't know if it is the amount of money you have in your cat to run 9.5's or something else going on. Try to stay positive, when you resort to name calling and insults it makes you look small.

Bro no one can talk to you. This thread had nothing to do with anything you posted. Stop talking shit and start reading a thread and commenting appropriately.

Think what you want. But you do it to yourself. Be positive and stay positive otherwise your going to get outed.

Reread the thread and tell me where your comments make sense for the OP. Your a tool man.

Brother,

Just be positive, lets just move on, we all know what you and I run, they can draw their own conclusions. Nothing personal (to me), in one of your posts you said I was not calling people out here, you are right, why?, not in my league, at least 0.5 second slower in a bad day, no point, waste of everyone's time.

Remember you started off your very first post with inaccurate false info. And you didn’t even respond to the OP post. I haven’t seen a useful post from you in a while. Spend more time helping the community with good content then jumping into random threads and starting your own conversation, again with false info. You start doing that, and amazingly nothing happens and life goes on.

not sure. i only dynoed in 5th gear with 3.09s, short tires, and 41 pound Chinese knock off rims. that was 890 and torque was a little higher than hp. i went to smaller upper pulley to get some boost back on the stroker. now i have 2.62s, 29 pound rear wheels, taller tires, a carbon fiber drive shaft, and more boost. i spun to 80 while moving and did 10.1 at 140.1 at 6500 feet da. that was without front runners which i now have. so with hooking up and the front runners maybe a 9.6 to 9.7 at 144 in 6500 feet of air. so maybe close. i just do not know as i am couch racing until i can get her to hook.

Whip,

I am one of the few racers that posts on all the bad shit that happens when you race. Telling members that they just wasted their money on race parts that do make the cat quicker goes over like a fart in church. I don't use names or go personal, never, I tell it like it is. If you want to know exactly what happened, I will tell it, no lies. If I screwed up, I do not do the blame game, I own it, the good the bad and the ugly.

Regarding how this started, I approached this wrong. There are cats running 9.5s or quicker, full weight with the stock blower, no spray. The aftermarket blowers will not produce a quicker ET on stock weight, stock motor hellcat, period. The members here need to no this, the race shops just sell parts and would never say this.

Lets help them not make the same mistakes

Tell it in your own thread, you can’t go preaching in every thread, I do understand your point, and in some respect you are also very wrong at the same time. If we left the stock blower on these cars and stopped pushing for progress and learning we aren’t going anywhere with this platform, we will be stuck getting passed by the Competition. The whipple 4.5 might not be it for drag racing, but that’s not the end all be all for people. The whipple gives you one hell of a trap speed and for the street that’s what’s going to take the win, top end power. There are other things other than the 1320. Half mile racing is popular and lots of roll racing events.

We all have to keep testing and pushing. The fact that you didn’t even know there are faster whipple cars out there is a perfect example. We are all working towards the same goal. Going faster.

I do agree on the average joe who wants to go fast and being talked into a 30k build by a shop and in the end for 2-3k he could be going just as fast.

That’s worth warning people about. But... that doesn’t mean you start telling people it doesn’t work. To each his own man.

I remember seeing this clip on blowers, there is truth in blower efficiency and what the right size for the intended application brings.
PS, I’d give one, maybe at my age both of my testicles to be doing just 9’s with my cat lol
