Dude your car is is less then 10k away from an 8 second pass
And I meant as an investment, people used to flip these cars all the time like that and make a lot of money

You’re not wrong. Maybe 1 pass, in negative da (which I’ll never see)
Its there. The demon was in like -1500 da back in 2017 when they ran 9.65 in florida

What lol what track did they run at. And I’m surprised they sent it down the drag strip at the reveal, but of course didn’t show the time slip

Not sure what track just remember Florida. Gatornationals last year it was so cold they didn't run at least 1 round of qualifying. The fss record was set by a drag pak at 7.60

This new car has the electronics sorted to get off the line I'd say.

it can be done. All of the electronics. Will it be easy? No. Need to rip and replace all modules, get a full read on a bench from one of their PCMs, write it back with vin, and everything else should fall into place. Would have to enable everything in the bcm. The TCM I’m not sure about. I haven’t heard of anyone overwriting what’s already in there besides the calibration. That being said, vin DOES NOT MATTER for TCM. My A8 is from a 2016 charger, zero issues and Witech was able to update the base calibration and hp tuners change the calibration. But it does still show the vin from the charger and that it’s from a 2016 charger.

And wiring. No a small feat, mostly for early models. All we need are reads, part numbers, and time

Yeah regardless of DA a 1.2 60’ is why it broke into the 8’s bottom line

I’m sure @fumanchu182 could work it out, he’s been on the same path I was when I had the time, and a whole lot further ahead it seems. Used a lot of the same methods. Real sharp guy

Well the other thing to consider is the D170 that ran 8.91 was the stripped down absolute lightest model with probably stellar DA and a professional company doing prep. Will be interesting to see what the average owner can do. I also think the 9.65 Demon had a custom tuneup.

For D170 to hit 8.91@151 and 1025hp it had to weigh 3700lbs with driver at time of run. That's 700lbs less than mine

I don't know about you guys but I drive mine too much on the street and enjoy it to strip it down like that. Maybe one day when I have time on my hands I will just to see how much difference there is.

Lol I drive stripped down with an aluminum kirkey to go grab milk skinnies and all. Never know, always better to be prepared

But yeah it was definitely stripped down, it’s the same as the demon - 1 seat car unless you buy the options rear and passenger seat. Interesting they didn’t mention weight. I wonder what the carbon fiber wheels weigh

The wheels were CF and Titanium I believe and better be super light for $12k.

Another interesting point is the 170 reaches full power with 65%+ ethanol 🤔🤔🤔 pretty much solves the life long debate that > 65%you’re not going to make any more power.

I always assumed good for max effort at E70. Can push it harder at higher E% but E65 met their design criteria and is 5% lower than what I usually see at the pump in winter....margin.

For the 100k + 150k adm, just go buy a dragpack and then go find a v6 vin from copart and be done with it.

Not sure about those numbers. If my car weighed what yours does I would have been in the 8.8s. Mine and the demon both have 3.0 blowers making the same amount of boost. Dont think it would have to be that light. I was also in 500 da

Provide an alternative?

-1500 DA would be good for .1 to .15

4200 lbs with driver in 0 DA would be 500 less DA then me and nearly 500 lbs less, should be easy with a 1.29 60ft. I had a 1.33
