He blew up on day 3 of Sick Week almost to the lights. Car bucked and went sideways for a bit. Then the chute came out.

It was mentioned that it was running 45 lbs of boost when Steve Morris said to run only 35.

If I’m wrong, the first time they did it was on the old motor, so twice with Mullet. And I’m not saying they’re assholes for doing it… I love their program and I’ve been a follower and supporter for many years now.

Too many cooks in the kitchen on that particular job I’d say.
Consider it’s a young guy and his young friends all figuring this stuff out… They’re not a professional race team, though they beat a lot of them.
Yes they have budget, it comes with the territory, but they don’t like blowing up STM Big Blocks any more than anyone else.

Cleetus now has a great engine builder and tuner, Pete Harrelson.
The figuring out isn't happening any more.
