Does anyone know the stock intercooler pump gallons per minute, and it’s operating pressure (I know it’s pwm, but at 100% Duty cycle is what I’m looking for). Does anyone’s run a Davies Craig electric booster pump (ebp40, 9 gallons per minute) inline with their stock intercooler pump? Are there any issues with the ebp running when the stock pump is not? Most likely going with a ewp 150 and removing the stock pump altogether, but looking for some advice. Thanks everyone

If I ware youz, aand I'ze beez me. I wood look at dis vary closey, cauze. If youz get too far out of wack. Youz culd pump 2 fast and whore dead head 1- 2 da utter. Ifster too fast youz will by pass da areas dat you are not coolen down but axtracten da heat. Too fast will snot keep coolant in da areas long anuff to extract da heat. Dead head will have da pumps goen against each utter. Pressure will beez way out of wack and youz will defeat you'll perrpuose. Beez careful.

So eliminate the factory pump

I ran a Rule 2000 pump in line with my factory pump. running from the trunk to the front of the car is a bit much for one pump in my opinion.

i agree i ran my factory pump with the ice tank ,when i wasn't racing i only had the factory pump running so the ice tank pump would not be running all the time

Mine has the external Davies Craig electric booster pump 40, which flows 9 gallons per minute. I want to upgrade it to davies craig ewp 150 which flows about 40 gallons a minute. I think the 150 should be enough flow to remove the factory pump altogether

flowing faster doesn't mean it will cool better only means it will melt the ice faster ,slower flow will help the coolant stay cooler longer throughout the quarter mile ,you could leave your ice tank pump off and run only the factory pump inline with it and still get great results

Mine with that setup and 40 bs of ice per pass would get down into the high 30's low 40's and end in the 80's on a pass.

exactly, toss the lines and ice tank in the trash and put a chiller on!! I was simply helping the OP with his question. Not everyone wants to hear they are making a mistake.

it was over 80 lbs removed when I dropped the ice tank and lines. including the added weight of ice/water.
