I guess the part number on the socket isn’t correct but this is exactly what it looks like (I know this one is the wrong size). You can put a socket wrench right on it and get them out without any additional extensions, maybe a 1” once on top of it for the back ones. Get this in 5/6. The magnetic part is amazing. Some of my best tools are duralast

Just remember the hose trick to get the new ones in/started and it’s easy sailing. And yeah I torqued them dry to the insane 20+ ft lbs or whatever it was. @16GoManGoHC2 you do them dry, right? Recall the ft lbs on them? Been over 3 years since I changed mine last

Been running the 2309 gapped to .28 since I swapped from stock ones when went e85. On my 2nd set, 1st set were fine but had blower and coolant lines out for trans swap so said screw it when in Rome

They are a pain. I need to do mine again but I’m going to compression test it at the same time. As many cylinders as I can get to anyway

Even before seeing meltdown pics of piston and cylinder heads I was thinking on putting good splash of high octane in with 93 pump gas. This was going to be after break in and getting heavy on right foot. Now my thoughts are more than a splash each fill up and starting effective immediately. I ain’t superstitious but my 170 is also White Knuckle and this done opened my eyes. I will have good octane till we get Some hard data that says different.

Dry, just like we get it at work.

Don’t waste your time on compression testing, do leak down test instead, tells you more.

I use 2309’s gapped to .018”, I see very few miss fires recorded, none during WOT periods. Cylinder 8 seems to have the most, seems that way in allot of logs I’ve looked at not just mine.

True but I've not seen any personal Demon owners that wrench on their own junk so labor cost is a thing.

Wider gap is for fuel economy but you will get spark blowout
This would be why you may want to pull the plugs and at least check the gap.

Yeah, thinking I need to close up the gaps. I’m around 17 lbs of boost
Dry, just like we get it at work.

Literally F%#K a spark plug job on a hellcat...and F%#K those valve covers. It took me 8hrs over 2 days to do mine the first time and that's after peeling everything up and out of both sides just for access.

So when Allpar quoted me 450 plus plugs I said F%#KING DO IT.

Who wants to do my next set?

PE was a problem on mine with black key. I did have my 93 tune setup to black key only and limited boost on that tune as well on the old car after the 2.7 blower.
I might almost want to hear more about this sometime. I'll forget before it's relevant to my squirrel brain again though.

It’s not that horrible lol. If you separate the plastic harness and battery cable cover from the passenger shock tower and move it down you have more room. The coil boots have a LOT of play, pull coil out a bit and then flex left or right to take out
