Ugh. They have got to get their QA on these software updates up to par. Uconnect updates with bugs, and now this. Maybe I can still get new cats and O2s (fingers crossed).
I asked that very question this morning and was told the recall is closed. No parts or software are to be distributed.

I am knee deep in technology, software develop and CNO practices (my other computer is your computer type work...). The fact that the PCM software was not QA'ed before push is equivalent to the following. Amazon has a Prime Cart update but they didn't test in Beta, the developer avoided the testing cycle and just put it on Production. Now Jeff Bezos is getting a sev 1 cause shopping numbers have dipped -20% and everyone has to get on a conference call.

This will be the last FCA car I purchase, once the recall is completed/fixed I'm selling this and buying something else. Sour fucking taste in my mouth. Here's a transcript of me trying to get this sorted out. Thoroughly frustrating.

Brenda got back to me via email, confirmed tha the recall has been done but they don't have anything else to do with it at this point and don't have a fix. They referred me back to the dealership. Brenda was helpful and this is not her fault at all either. The dealership can't do anything, old parts have been sent back to Chrysler and they can't roll back the PCM. I'm hopping off the forums for a day or two unless I get good news. This is the most frustrating thing ever. Kinda wish I didn't buy this car and wish I had my Scat Pack back, that thing was a beast.

Man I am sorry you are going through this nonsense. I'm kind of glad I haven't been able to get a hold of my service advisor to make an appointment.

This is just sad....if you look back on post #9, this is exactly why I said I always wait on any of these recalls.....no matter what they are for. I really didn't think FCA would screw another recall up, but it appears that they have. -And this is much worse than door handles...

I'll see if I can get with my contacts tomorrow for any added info. For now I'd skip the flash and just get the parts. Its ENTIRELY possible one has nothing to do with the other.
I was told they had to do the flash so Feds knew that the recall was being done. Say your car was tuned if anyone gets the hard parts replaced.

Look at post #33 That,s when I took the Bat to the hornets nest.To anyone that after this didn't let FCA phuck up their cars ......You 're Welcome. If Dodge really cared they would toss me the keys to a press car. So I can take my Wife on a once in a lifetime road trip on Route 66 to meet my Grand Daughter. Without worrying about a break down. But I'm sure that won't happen. I don't have a Youtube channel and I'm not some A$$ hole with a TV show from Texas.

Technically, if their flashing software isn't designed to flash firmware with an older revision than the current, what the engineers should be doing ASAP is issuing a incremental revision that basically flashes the old code back. At least until they figure out what they messed up. Who knows how long a new update would take them to recertify.
