Looks like from the squared off area. Possibly threaded? If that fails get a hammer...

Haven’t had one apart myself but it looks like a large wrench would go on it and would spin off. Is that an aftermarket intake? Doesn’t look like the stock ones I’ve seen.

Probably intentional, they are always taking additional steps to prevent emmisions tampering.

I can't see exactly clearly on my phone, but if you removed the hose from the fitting, could it possibly be pushed to the inside of the flexible duct with some minor, temporary, distortion of the duct?

Possibly easier with careful heating of the boss with a heat gun?

Proceed with caution!

Pull really hard, but cautiously. 😂

Twist/lock...?

Agree. Def the right track of thought IMO. Look at the "soft" donut under the elbow. Best guess is it's compressible and twist lock will pop out of position

Hose is welded to fitting.
It can be removed with 2 flat tip screw drivers and allot of cursing.
Once removed will NOT fit in JLT Throttle body tube.
Mother F....r!
JLT tells you the CAI work on a 19, they are mistaken.
Got it done, but shit!
Going to have to "Clean it up".
Not freaking today though..

I thought you wanted to remove elbow not tube. Picture doesn't say it all. LOL. That is frustrating.

Well, wanted to remove fitting from stock 19 tube/ boot CAI, so I could put on a JLT.
They made it very difficult to do. Entire time, I was saying to myself, well, if it doesn't work out, I'll just take it to dealer and have a new stock on put back on.
Had to cut the ears off the the fitting (what I showed in second pic.

I found this video that says it's specifically for the 2019 HC. Maybe this will help. If I'm too late...sorrry. Not trying to be a smartass. I check youtube for everything I do now.

They are wrong. That is NOT a 2019 intake they show.

ok....sorry about that. I thought it might help because it didn't look like they used that factory fitting in your first pic. It looked like they had their own set-up to use. Did you get a new elbow on the hose they show going into the tube, or did you actually have to reuse yours?

Haha. That’s why I thought yours was aftermarket, it didn’t look like the one in that video, lol.

Too bad instructions and parts lists for these things aren't as good as a TM :)

yep...and after plenty of WTF moments from poorly written instructions with some aftermarket part....I go to youtube first now. I don't care if I have to watch the video 20 times and pause it step by step, I'm trying to find those WTF moments ahead of time. I'll even try to build as many sub-assemblies as I can before I start the actual work.

Hopefully you'll get the part you need from JLT and it will all go well.
