A lot of color options...and interior combos..and striping...I see a lot of 1of 1's ...love the fact It's finally here..but was really hoping for HP bumps across the board...even marginal ones...So what did we get...a RE charger that shoulda been here last year..a detuned Demon w/o a crate...and a Durango HC...cant speak for the rest..but glad I wasn't holding my breath..

I think the SS is awesome, if I didnt just order a RE i wouldve ordered one. Dont want the crate, would never use one thing in there. Just want that suspension and some fat DR’s. I can solve the DR issue but the suspension isnt something ill mess with. Current RE may be a better daily though with the bigger brakes and 20’s. Maybe not, who knows.

Sure. And a Super Stock (or a RE for that matter if you measure them at the same RPM) would be too with the same crate PCM (or an aftermarket tune). Apples to apples (on pump gas with the stock PCM) they are the same. 808 and "807".

But they don't have those parts from the factory...mod the RE/SS..and have a problem..no warrantee ...there in lies the difference...now talk bout moding any of the three...new dialogue ..

Put any of those crate parts in and you've still modded it as far as I'm concerned. Those parts are from the Mopar catalog, not the factory (even if they did only cost $1). They come in a box after the fact. But you make an excellent point about the warranty.

All I'm saying is they both leave the assembly plant making 808(7), and unless you start spinning wrenches on either one, that's all they will both ever make- even if it did come with a crate.
