Rotor question

Did they change the rotor design at some point in production? A friend of mine noticed some seem to have more slots than others.

Probably why they changed from 2006-2007. Back then it was squeal. Now probably from the click noise complaints.

The first I remember hearing about it was MY19, maybe late 18.
I could see it being a small cost savings and the benefits of slots are negligible.

Also.... The risk of a heat-soak, micro crack is nearly guaranteed..... Which these turn into real cracks that may or may not be too deep to get rid of on a lathe.

Dodge isn't the only manufacturer changing their recommendation or brake spec.
