Yeah, I can't believe the AA battery is $800 now, I don't think there is that much of a change at all to justify a 100% increase in price over what I paid on the original one, if & when they were having issues they should fix it on the same battery & cost.
I feel like that they just saw all the other light weight battery's selling in that $800 range & figured they could get it too, but I think they are not going to sell as many at that price. If they would have kept it at the 400 or $500 range they could rule the market, but now their just another expensive light weight battery.
I know this will came across possibly wrong but we are driving 4500lb cars and we are thinking 40-50 pounds will be that dramatic. Now if these were say Miata‘s lol maybe I could get it and hell I’d be willing bet some here could lose 20-50 pounds

I agree, but on the same token since these cars are so heavy, it doesn't hurt to reduce weight but it depends to me at what cost & how much weight is saved, for me at $400 to save 30lbs. was on the edge of worth it, but at $800 now it's not.

You know now jut for shits and grins I would truly like to see a Hellcat run with 50lbs less wight and see the numbers LOL. And dam just as an example I weigh with clothes and shoes blah blah 235 so already apples to apples you have 30 pounds less than me. And if I have a water bottle onboard and cell phone and safety kit and say 3 gallons of extra gas over you then damn I have at least 50 pounds more weight lol. I just cant see it in these big ass Mopars and not picking on anyone just enjoying the conversation.

Well, I normally pull the front seat 60lbs. for the track, it's worth maybe 1/2 a tenth at most, but 30lbs. here & 60 > 100lbs. there, then with it all together it might be worth 1/10, in the world of racing each 1/10 may be between a win or a loss.

I have removed the rear seat a few times at the track for comparrison. the roughly 40lbs is worth about .02 in the 1/4.
The gains aren't much but add the .06 for skinnies and keeping fuel around half tank plus 30lb lighter battery. All together maybe .15 sec improvement or not much more. Not as much as some would have you believe.
I have tried swapping things for weight savings at the track quite a few times to get get a more accurate comparisson.
If you are tuned and can just change pulley's I get not caring about a few pounds. I'm trying to see how fast I can go with the stock tune so I'm thinking on anything that will help me. I may be able to go as fast as 10.6. I have exhaust, gears and weight reductions to throw at it. May even try a CAI
