Just dropped the cat off. Having Dodge do the downpipes/o2 sensors only then flash when present since the car is modified.

Will update on how the recall goes. RIP Warranty 9/9/2020 @DodgeCares

Update: Picked the car up. Tuner called and DID not want them to flash PCM. The shop car is being sent over tomorrow will take care of the TCM.. IDK Going with whatever they say to get the car dialed in.
Didn't have to trailer it home which was nice.

Question for those that had this V86 recall done -> When you picked up from Dodge was the car smoking very bad from the exhaust/rear of engine? Smelled like burning on the 15 mile drive home.
When I got back the exhaust wasn't smoking as much but still coming from engine bay. Terrible smell. White smoke.

Pretty sure that is the new cats burning in (the smell). Mine did smell for a bit, maybe just the first few days of driving. Don't know if mine smoked, never noticed.

Remind me again, please, someone, what the flash is supposed to do? What changes are they making to the stock programming?

I did not look at the exhaust, but if it was smoking like that I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed.
There was no smoke from under the hood or any strange smells.

Phuck up your car so it sounds like it's dying when you shut her down. I'm still phucking with mine. I guess I'm the only one who's Cat still makes noise.

I had mine done a few weeks ago. There was a smell for the first few days which they warned me about. The one thing I did notice was they had left the large paper part number ID labels on them. The exhaust tips were also uneven, so while I had it on the lift I removed the labels to keep them from burning up. Perhaps its the labels burning you’re smelling?
One thing I have noticed is prior to the recall the car would start in ECO mode on default. After the recall it now starts in what looks to be the custom setting. Any one else have this going on? Not that I care as I never drove in ECO mode.

Mine is a 15 and it has always started in Default.

Also, smelled gross, for like 3 days, after the recall. After that, all is good.

Yes, but my default was ECO mode now its the same settings as custom mode. I’m not sure why that would have changed.

While loading the car onto a flat bed today took a look underneath.

Burning smell/smoke was from stickers left on i believe. The ones on the downpipes burnt off, some ash residue left. Two still partially on the mid section.
Makes me feel a bit better, off to get the build finished.
