Yep, and outside of the tech arena, where they do have a lot of younger people driving Teslas, you have this gulf of middle aged people who don't typically drive them and a LOT of older people (65+). That's how you arrive at 54 median age.

Track was really busy last Saturday and not a single one there. I have yet to see a 2020 GT500 at the track either

Was at track today. One was in my run group. I could tell they were being cautious - can’t blame them. And by cautious, don’t mean slow... just 2-3 seconds off my pace. Bad part I didn’t check out the car. I should have walked over to check it out.

I was at Atco yesterday and although most of the day was shit... I had the opportunity to run a stock C8. Best part of the entirely too long of a day. My 11.27 @126.2 vs his 11.73 @120.9.

You do realize that the majority ownership of these cars are NOT "enthusiasts". They liked the car. They bought it. They drive it. ( maybe not like you want them too) 😂

From what I've read across multiple car sites, is that "we" are less than 10% of ownership. Corvette since the C5 have been producing north of 35-40k units a year. I've encountered many people in a variety of cars in the past 20 years(internet era) and most have never heard of any of these forums and have no plans to modify, race or display car at a show.

I'm with you tho, it saddens me to see these cars not driven to thier potential, and maybe they are, were just not seeing it. 😣

This !! I have a neighbor with a Vette that's probably 4 or 5 yrs old. I only ever see him take it for a late evening cruise, top down, radio on. I'd bet real $$ he never gets on it

This reminds me of my Brand New 2016 Hellcat when I was driving down the road and a VW GTI guy comes up next to me and starts taunting me. And he is getting like really pissed since I ain't do nothing and I mean nothing which he did not understand my car had like 200 miles on her. I am like hell no and you ain't gonna hang anyways but I am sure he was like what the hell and he really did want to see me blast her. SO my guess is that or unbeknownst to you the C8 got pulled over for doing just what you wanted him to do the day before

My drive home (175 miles on the FL turnpike) was full of ppl giving me the WTF look as I doddered along being passed by SUV's, PU's and even minivans. Orlando was awash in punks with ricer mobiles wanting to race, 1 even gave me the finger when I wouldn't engage - LOL. It was soooooooo hard to not just leave then all in the dust, but I was a good boy

So I get what you are saying but I don't see meself saying going to the strip at this point

There were 2 c8's at 131 Saturday. I only saw the blue one run once and it was 11.6 but the orange one I saw go 11.25 and a 11.17@123
