I DO NOT have 1000rwhp and I'm have a "unique " time trying to get my power to the ground. I can't imagine you guys with 1000+rwhp! .

Either do I (without spray which I am not into right now), I have a problem getting what I got to the ground, I agree. When a stock weight hellcat can go 9.4's with a stock blower, that makes around 900 rhwp, you have to question some of the claims here.

last time it was on the scales, it was over 3,800 pounds with me in it (close to 3,900) however, I think it weighs less now (I hope so). There is a limit on losing weight in a hellcat A8, the consul, wiring, dash, and alot of other shit has to remain, unless a fuel management system (i.e. Holley, Fueltech, etc) is used.

I use the stock PCM, therefore, I cannot eliminate alot of stuff. If the A8 is used, no option using aftermarket system, you are married to the stock PCM

Pretty cool and amazing that you’ve found ways to slim down that much.

There’s not that many Hellcats out there that have taken weight reduction to your level so in a way, you’re kinda in a class of your own or a class of extreme like other cars with so called race motors. It’s all the same to me, just different paths to the same goals of trying to quick and fast.

Unfortunately this thread isn’t about being quick or fast, it’s about that dyno number, actual or hypothetical and who knows or thinks they’re at or over the 1k mark.

So my apologizes for the added noise. Maybe we can start another thread about how Whipples/KB suck (or not). There seems to be valid arguments for and against depending on circumstances.

There’s plenty of folks at or over 1khp who aren’t quick at the track for a long laundry list of reasons. For example, the phrase comes up a lot, spinning ain’t winning.

I have had nothing to do with this and or my up and coming mullet, which I ate one tonight. 1/4 mile interesting point is the 1/2 mile. I am still in the rookie stage at the prime age of///. Laying low after a low blow from last evening. I am here for education. If I can throw a bit of funny business into the forum, I can do so. Here in Clearwater, we have had a situation of sorts with bikes and hot rods. Newly opened Baracudda- Harley shop has opened 1/4 mile from the well established Quacker Snake and Oiler restaurant. They have backed all the car, bike, old model cars, and every thing that has an engine equipped. Me and El Rico sporting our hell Cats have won numerous trophy's from there with stiff competitions from vettes, 1940 Ford trucks and a lot of stuff. Only 3 Hell Cats, but ok. Point being is the Harley shop is 2 blocks away. This place is so big it as it's own water tower. Yesterday and today, they have a following that does nothing but stang in the shop and parking lot talking shop. Nothing wrong with that. But, instead of selling cycles they are giving out free food and beer which is what Quacker Snake does for a living. This franchise, Quacker, has done a lot for the car and bike shows and local agencies, non profit. I believe it is ashamed that this very well Harley establishment in this huge county has to open a multi million $$ complex a 1/2 mile from a place that as stayed away from everyone else is giving away food and beer. Just bad business. Quacker has been in their place for 14 years having bike an 2 car nights a week. The Harley Shop named Barracuda- Harley, I guess St Pete, is out to take another great establishment down the drain.
Just a damn shame. Do they have a barracuda on the shroom floor. I will find out on Monday.

@cole3986 It takes a ton of power to hit 200MPH in the 1/2 mile, much less a full mile. I worked a lot with this a while back and about 150MPH in the 1/4 = 170MPH in the 1/2 and will get you to 200 at the mile if the gearing is right and the car has enough power. I was very surprised it didn't scale like I thought it would from my 1/4 mile experience.

A lot of it has to do with aero. That wall of air that must be "moved" grows exponentially with each MPH. I think there's some online calcs that help estimate it based on frontal cross section of the car and drag coefficient. I used to know the Challenger's by heart but it's been a few years.

Laser Doc told me that the general rule of thumb is to add/ 30/35 mph to the trap in the 1/4 mile. That puts me 190+ however it may just be in the 180's, IDK, never tried. I may just back away from it, the more I think about it, the more I do not like it.

It's a lot of time for something to go south for sure. My buddy holds the world record in a Challenger at 212MPH, but in that process he lost 3-4 engines, 3-4 transmissions, and when one of the engine failures occurred he was on up there around 180mph and oil soaked his front brakes, so you can imagine how that went. Scary stuff.

WOT in 1000+HP for close to 30 seconds. It's hard on equipment.

If you guys have never been to the TX Mile, it's an awesome event just to spectate. You see a bit of everything. One guy had a GT40 with the license plate "Mullet" and he got out and dang looked like Joe Dirt. 1500HP twin turbo in that car and his "pit car" was a Bugatti. Said he was in "shipping and receiving" whatever that meant LOL.

If I had my way it would be in a p51 mustang, prop. Or A4 phantom jet both available to fly in. Prepare for second mortgage for the phantom. But again the thrill and bang of a untamed cat on the street or strip is also inviting. Speed cost money son how fast you wanna go in a car or ✈️
