My "bad teacher" story:

In 6th grade our teacher would take the whole class out to the far end of the field by the school to have "Field Days"/"parties". We would spike the punch and drink while she would roll her joints back by the trees.

This of course didn't last long, somebody told somebody and she was just "gone" one day.


I wonder what happened to her?

I had a few old ones, but the majority of my teachers from elementary school up through high school were younger, and the ones that graduated college in the late 60's and early to mid 70's were free sprits and you could just tell they were out partying most nights of the week.

Had few hippy teachers as well. Kinda tough for them in my area since war machinery was such a big employer base with all the defense companies.

Did not wanna go there...My mother thought I was on the verge on becoming a very bad young man....we were graded on conduct..75 was a passing grade..they had was what called a prefect of discipline..(he could punch)..and the dress code..sport coat and tie everyday...no facial hair allowed..and your hair could not touch your collar...

I tell people all the time if it’s about my hair and looks anymore I got serious challenges it’s the personality that makes us real. Only because of the sacrifices we made in ‘69, LOL. We staged a walkout at North Farmington HS to be able to wear blue jeans and for girls to wear slacks (the latter was a mistake because mini skirts were popular). Anyway, the school locked the doors and suspended 150 students still outside. Nevertheless, the admin relented and changed the dress code. Power to the people! ✊
