MFER-1 mod is plenty loud. No need for exhaust upgrade. Maybe some ear plugs though lol

Did the Mfer-1 and I like it. But I never thought it would be so loud. It seems like my car has gotten louder just after the first few hundred miles. I do love it, but my ears sometimes almost want ear plugs. For me it is plenty. I will not be needing a mid pipe or anything else at this time.

Has anyone else modded their valves open, and if so! What say you! The car really turns heads now. I would say mostly with positive effects! The quality of these were very exact. Holes lined up tight, and the stop tabs fit in tight, to where the valves in the open mode had no play at the 2 o'clock open position where it keeps them fixed!

Yes, I had these ordered and someone told me about just wiring them up with no codes. I actually think you told me but I may be wrong! I used them since I had them. There is some drone. I don't have any stereo upgrade, but my blue fang, aka tooth, might be a bit harder to use at certain speeds.


I am a musician and one would think loud noise wouldn't matter. But it does to this cat. I guess the nice thing is if I get sick of it, its a 15 min reversal. I like to think I am Randy Probst when I step on it lol

I believe the spring is pulled off of the back of the unit, the valves are wired open, the units bolted back on and the units left plugged in.

Than when the car starts it cycles through the unit without throwing a code on the Redeye. The actuator is not turning any valve since the spring is removed and the rotation of the internal hub tricks the unit. I am sure someone can explain it better than me!

2. Remove spring;
3. Wire open valve; and
4. Reinstall actuator motor.

Thank you for the link! I didn't see a ton of consensus that it works on all models or doesn't have any long term detriment (like the actuator motors always turning until they wear out.) Might give it a try though when I get a chance, whats the worst that could happen!

Like you said, just pull one and remote start the car and see what it does. Probably they over shoot the stops just a bit each way and the springs act as the cushion when it bottoms out from torque with the valve stopping in either direction. That way it keeps things tight for the valves on the open and shut side and doesn't over stress the motor with the spring in there.

I have not done mine yet. You just have to use a wire to hold it at full open.

Just drill a couple little holes on the flange where you need to and run a tie wire in and out holding it against the 2 o'clock position stop! Or come out of the bottom big hole like he did and find a spot somewhere else.

There may be room to just put a hose clamp over it and hold the outter and inner flange. Than use no wires!

I already have it done in a tune on my 2015 Hellcat. Which also has Dyno Max Mini Race mufflers and it sounds bad ass.
