I spent a month with a play Boy bunny taking a trip from Calgary, 3 days, on the glass top train thru the Canadian Rockies, 4.5 days and nights. Great trip to Vancouver, favorite major city. 2 days,, had to rest up. Got on a plane in Vancouver flew 500 miles to an out post. Got on a ww 2 float plane flew 2 00 miles to Mill Bank Sound. Getting there for customs. Spent 10 days on a floating cedar wood barge following the king salmon run. 5 star food, fished 5 am to 5 pm with your own guide and own boat. Breakfast, packed your lunch, don't have to come back,,, getting there. Caught my limit in 4 days. Up against owners of Cabela's,, and 3 other very large out door custom groups. These people have been fishing together the same week every year for 30 years. Just so happened 1 got an illness and I was the next on the wish list. Got it. Not cheap, but a trip of a life time. Guys at work never knew I left town. Grouper digger out fished them all and they were embarrassed at the awards ceremony. I kicked their assess. Any way,, to attempt to go thru customs with over 200 lbs of king salmon and halibut fillets frozen thru customs at Vancouver via Tampa before they thaw out. hard to do. Customs says open all the boxes,, WHAT, frozen fish to Tampa. Well a couple of green backs and off me and the bunny go home. Story continues later.
