Should have always been made here, and never ever outsourced to the commies. While I noticed the idiot who wrote the lame story on it, only talked about here, reality is that many are made overseas, and so they control the production, or lack thereof for most automakers.

Absolutely. Everything in the supply chain should've always been made here. The CEOs were/are only concerned with short-term profit.

I actually make pressure gauges that are used in the semiconductor industry. We are booked through the remainder of 2021 on gauges. It's nuts! One of the reasons chips don't get made here is due to how dangerous it is. The gasses that are used during the production are deadly. Nobody really mentions that though. We make the gauges in a clean room environment and they are electro-polished as well.

Could you be more specific? I worked at three different facilities producing computer chips and circuit boards. TTI Testron, Sunshine Circuits and Reticon. I'm not aware of any environmental dangers. I'm not saying you're incorrect, I'm just not familiar with what phase of production you are referring to.
