I for one think they look ridiculous. Same as leaving the tags on your clothes to me which is why this country is great right? Looking like that is a right we all have lol. Even so I would leave them on if I really truly believed they wouldnt do more damage than good. They trap sand and scuff the cheap $135 splitter over time anyway. After three and half years without them my splitter looks perfect, and without question better than the sandy scuffed splitter it wouldve been with them. Splitter is $135, there’s no way most people are leaving them on to actually protect anything that cheap lol. They just love the look.

Ok, you have your opinion, thanks for sharing, anything else? It is just amazing what happens when FCA says something, have you ever voiced this before? or did just come to you? Or was it building for years? You thought it but were waiting for the right moment, kinda like Cialis, LOL

Ok, that is why I leave the protector on. Some here want to hate on leaving it on, and here we are. No desire to have the curb rash when it can be avoided.
yeah im a functionality guy if it works I would rather have it on than look pretty and vice versa if it doesn't work.

In my case I have no sharp lips in my driveway, garage, garage where I park at for school, etc. etc. can't avoid the random one's but at the end of the day mine is leased so I can turn it in with the bottom as scuffed as I want and nobody is gonna take the time or effort to care.

To each their own, just wanted to give some insight on where it works and doesn't.

Um, there has been numerous threads on the subject over the years on several forums, so no, it merely got stirred up again because someone at Dodge finally had enough. And rightfully so.

Oddly enough, there is still always someone trying to defend leaving them on.

Ive voiced it multiple times long before the herd. I’d be glad to post a few links. This is nothing new. My opinion is my own and not a bandwagon one. Couldnt care any less about the masses. Should i constantly still post about it or comment in a thread that is specifically about it (like here)...I’d be glad to start yet ANOTHER thread on the exact same subject (and still be flamed for it) although something tells me you or anyone else who loves the protectors won’t be any happier with me lol.
As ugly as they are I was actually on the splitter side if in fact they didnt trap sand and debris. I would just paint them black. The part is $135 either way.

That comment was not directed at you, but you feel you need to respond, ok, "Dodge finally enough" of what? For some reason, you and others want to tell me what I should or should not do with me car? Really? should we go down this road?

Where? link the threads, yes, lets do it again, for all time sake. It is not about whether I love the protectors, is all about you telling me what I should or should not do. Lets go down the rabbit hole and keep telling me what I should be doing or not doing.

I doubt that, are you sure you do not want to tell me how to wax my car or what oil changes I should do? I know you want to, come on tell me what I should be doing.

I never told anyone what to wear or leave on their car lol. Just posted my opinion on how the protectors look and how cheap the splitters actually are to replace.
