Stock Read??

Good evening. I pulled the attached off the car yesterday. I've tried to look through it, but it looks like I only have the trans information. Everything else seems to be empty. My PCM is still stock (and locked), I used zAutomotive's OBD II install in the trunk. I have the latest VCM editor (downloaded today).

Would one of you HP Tuners gurus please take a look and see if I'm doing something wrong, read the wrong file or just missing something when I open the tune? I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

If you want to try again post a picture of the screen before you hit read also post a picture of during the read
You will want to pull the stock file before you get an unlock on your car being it is a 2021

@jonx96, that's the pull I was trying to do. I bought an unlocked redeye PCM and was trying to make sure I had the file(s) I needed to get that PCM loaded for my car.

As for another pull with the pictures you mentioned. I'll try to get that this evening.

You got the trans only from what I can see. Don't newer models have to have some kind of device installed to allow a read of the PCM? The zAuto OBDII may be that device, but it's a thing.

The zauto double by pass does this for the newer modules. 2018+ requires this or other devices offered. 2019+ requires the double bypass as well as a read before the unlock.

At least HP Tuners and Diablos device allow you to use the normal odb port. The Zauto double by pass as you know adds another ODB port to the trunk to get the burn box out of the way.
I have both because I don't want to connect through the trunk every time I want to write a tune.

That's why I have a 10ft USB-C Cable. Computer can still in the front seat while hooked up in the trunk. I just really didn't want to rip my dash apart yet in order to install HPTuners bypass cable.

Pulling the radio out isn’t too bad. I guess you don’t have a reason for a burn box so for you it’s no big deal. The diablo one goes from under the glove box behind the center console and just plugs in on top of your exciting odb port.

right - don't need a burnbox or tazer, so it doesn't really hurt to have it in the trunk. DRGRCR even extended his power and ground wires to get the OBDII port in the rear seat area. I just thought it would be easier to get a longer USB cable. But there's still plugging the MPVI in trunk.
