There's no real apples to apples comparison yet. It's only available in the 'L' Wagoneers so far, which are about 300 lbs heavier than the shorter versions that have V8s (and the Hurricane is about 200 lbs lighter than the Hemi too).
S.O. Hurricane also makes 28hp/64tq more than the ET 5.7 Hemi, and the H.O. Hurricane makes 39hp/55tq more than the 6.4.
So they make more power, in a larger/heavier vehicle, and still manage better EPA scores than the V8s in the lighter/shorter Wagoneers. Did anyone really think they were going to magically get 30 MPG out of a 510hp, 6400+lb living room on wheels? 😆
Having said that...I never saw any meaningful MPG benefit with my ET Hemi Ram over the standard V8 so I still don't expect there to be much difference in real world MPG between the I6 and V8s. But they're better on paper and that's all that matters when calculating fleet averages and shit. And an I6 will never sound as good as a V8.
