That's every manufacturer tho, it's nothing new. They knew this since early 2021.

Go check all 2023 f150s, they eliminated the heating steering wheel and led numbers on the hvac controls, so from a 45k xlt to a 111k raptor R you have no heated steering wheel button.

Definitely agree with parts sourcing problem but 1million orders. Even if that was a quoted statement it could very well be a huge exaggeration to keep the feeding frenzy going on ADM across the board. Not like they haven’t noticed what supply vs demand capable of just my .02

Oh well. Did not want to sell it anyway. When I’m 95 it can pay the charges to the “home” to take care of me.

With all this talk of parts problems, makes a guy concerned about tracking it and busting something. Guess the aftermarket folks are the way to go. Glad I blew off the warranty last year. Fuck ‘em. I AM getting it out next weekend. It will be less than one month b4 it needs to be ready to lap at RA on May 6!

Just for the record, these are the numbers of Charger/Challenger made over the years. Hellcat powered versions just a fraction of the totals, most being V6's and 5.7's. (not including 300's here). The plant did build over 300,000 cars in 2005 and again in 2006. In total it built 165,000 cars in 2022, down 50K due to the chip shortages.

Going full tilt on 3 shifts, it can do 1,000 cars per day, but I don't know how many shifts and employees it has now but probably not enough to go max capacity even if it could source all parts.

We don’t ship them until they’re complete, they just pile up at the plant until the parts arrive.
So no service after the fact required. That’s a really shitty plan and even we’re not that bad!🤣 I know Furd does that a lot, we don’t.

Which is exactly why I laughed when op said 1 million orders, who tf is ordering the additional 900k units? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

In reality 99% of ordered units for retail customers are scat packs and hellcats, the only other entity ordering these things are government agencies ordering ppv for the charger. Every other unit that includes sxt's, gt's, and r/t's are basically replenishing dealer stock so dealers can move units and make their money.

My estimates go something like this, besides last call and the demons, I'm expecting roughly

2000 durango hellcats
3-4k charger hellcats/redeyes
4-6k challenger hellcats/redeye/super stock
