Byron's old owner got one offer for his asking price when it was first listed. It was the park district and they were going to shut the place down.
He held out for years looking for a buyer that would keep the track open.

New owners are big drag racers themselves.

But the 1/4 mile oval track unfortunately met a different fate. The old lady died and the kids couldn't wait to sell it to a developer for $$$$.

People will start to bitch when racing on the street happens again.
