We drove a Carrera 4S with the sport seats. Killed my back plus not enough luggage space. Less space than the 918.

Posrches just don't do it for me. You always know when you are looking at one, but I wouldn't call them beautiful. And talk about questioning value for price, you would think they have a couple of gold bars melted into their frame or something!

Porsche is the purest drivers car imo.

I think we have the same issue with Porsche and to be fair a lot of people have this issue, people when they see a 911 just see Porsche, it could be a $80k 10 year old carrera or a brand new $330k gt3rs and most people wouldn't know the difference in price or model.

I love Porsche because their cars are for the enthuasists, you got the literal rocket 911 turbo s that's probably the most comfortable and daily-able car in the exotic type class, and then you have the hardcore race cars that are gt2's, gt3's, etc etc

I like the feel of the Cayman. Feels so well balanced where the 911 feels like it's pivoting on the ass end. Just my feelings after limited test drives.

I m aware of an inline 6 but no V 6
There were testing I 6 blocks ( above 510hp ) a few months back in the area

I m no 6 cylinder fan but this thing is going to sing

I'd probably never have started looking at Porsche at all but when a Redeye started to cost $100K it put them in the same league for a lightly used Porshce 911 of course. I'd never think of buying one new though, that first coupe year depreciation is a killer, but once that happens and they level out they seem to hold for many years. The fact they haven't changed much is a good thing for a used buyer as well. Save $150K and have almost the same car.

I've been mulling this over a lot lately but do have to admit there's nothing like a V8 and the Hellcat Challenger certainly suited me. I'd have never gotten rid of mine to swap for a 911, but adding one to the garage would be nice. My Hellcat was a "forever" car for me, that is, unless something even more amazing from Dodge was made like a Redeye 170 for example. I'd have traded up for that.

The Porsche probably wouldn't be a "forever" car though. Just one to have fun with for a while.

I love Porsche's and the AWD definitely humiliated that Demon. Their exhaust is non existant.
