Looks like a tracking device is next on my list.

is the lockout free or what? Will they screw with anything else? I have a pretty custom setup

RF Hub TSB done.
Starter interrupter, made my own.
Neutral block. " " "
GPS tracker.
Armored the TIPM.
Padlocked steering wheel cable bolted to the floor, wraps around the wheel so the only way to remove it is to cut it or the wheel in 2 places.
OBD port block. ( to do).
Pager alert with interior detector. ( " " )

Any other suggestions are welcomed.

Lojack..... in 25 years of LE we had a 100% location rate once it went off. Sometimes they would get away after a chase but nonetheless whenever it went off we found it!

Remember Lojack is RADIO based not SAT based. It can track ur stolen vehicle in an 18 wheeler or anywhere GPS would not get a signal like under a parking garage for example.

They would steal motorcycles and put them in elevators and bring them up to their apt to strip them. Lojack has hand held devides that track with an accuracy of 10 feet away! We would just go from Apt to Apt till we got a signal. Nothing is better than Lojack.

The only down side is if u get Lojack and enter ur car stolen which is whats required to activate it ur car is now a stolen revovery for life! At least u get ur car back tho.

I tell ppl to get a kill switch (two of em), Lojack and a GPS for $15 a month. I would want to find my vehicle myself with GPS cause that way I would not have to enter it into NCIC (National crime computer) and have a stolen recovery. Lojack imo is a LAST resort but u will find ur shit with Lojack 100%!!!!!!!!! Shit has like a 15 year battery life!

What would be best to use the kill switch for? Fuel Pump and computer?

Someone posted earlier that 2015-2017 you could do something with just the OBDII port. I do remember in 2018 they changed something as that's when the double bypass was needed for tuning.

Ok testing of Airtags vs Tile is complete. Airtags are 95% effective, Tile 1% so the Tiles will be getting returned. YMMV.

As for insurance, if you don't have agreed value and or replacement value, expect low KBB low ball from the insurance company. Mine was agreed value for a set amount and highly recommended on these cars.

Hagerty has tiers, Grundy just states it can't be a daily driver. I think the base Hagerty Tier is 4,800 miles a year which is 100 miles a week.

I have CompuStar, Igla and Drone Mobile and destroyer plate after being stolen and recovered in October… It was a textbook, ODB port/tear all the wires out and damaged the interior… So now I have all of that… including stickers on the windows. Two nights ago, they broke again the alarm sounded. Drone alerted me and I was able to call 911…it was eight min between the Drone alert and the police arriving and they saw the car speed away and another jump the fine into the back yard. They broke back window which triggered the alarm and then the unplugged the radio under the dash. I’m guessing they were trying to figure out how to clone the key, but couldn’t because of the Igla… my window was repaired and the radio is now reconnected… Now, what do I need to do? technically, I think everything worked as they should… But I have a feeling they’ll be back, so what’s next?

No and no in my case. I think they charged me about $75 for 3 keys and I made sure with them they would not flash anything that would affect my tune.
