Stellantis is run by socialist euro trash that care more about things like “the environment”, “social welfare”, “fairness” and “equality” than cars or consumer needs and wants. Getting control over the auto industry helps them force their agenda on the masses, and if the masses reject, they accept the losses and continue, expecting gvts to force the foolish infidels to accept their superior way of living. They are better and smarter than we dirty little people. The same thing has happened in the lame stream media.

But..they still have to answer to the shareholders that expect dividends....when investors bail..there is trouble in their dirty little commie world...or so it would seem

Under normal circumstances, you would be absolutely correct. But at this point, anyone owning the stock is either a whacko socialist or in hospice care.

The auto industry in in uncharted waters@ this point...and nobody really knows how this is all gonna shake out...almost makes ya wanna put the popcorn on and watch the circus...(especially as I have all the ice I need..)

I bought a new truck last year, not because I needed it, but because I wanted to make sure I had a V8 with no "E" anything that will carry me for the duration. I have not sold the old truck, and I may just keep that going as well. PITA to maintain so many vehicles, but I'll never be stuck being a victim of circumstance. (Unless maybe if I travel far from home!)

In other words, they are more driven by their ESG score than what the individual stockholders or actual consumers want. Would bet serious $$ the majority of the stock is owned by Pensions & Mutual Funds which are also driven by the ESG nonsense. When the house of cards collapes, they will seek & receive Gubment bailouts (with our $$ of course) and wobble off to the next f-up !
