I can relate. Didn't tow a thing with my Durango.
Of course, I never drove it, either. That's why I didn't keep it.
I used mine to haul items for my church's garage sale. I transported a large flat screen tv, 4 heavy duty steel lounge chairs, and a gaming system.
My Durango 392 does everything I want it to. That's why it's a keeper.
Good thinking. Start them off with only a little power at first, then once they master some 500 hp you can let them loose with a 'Cat and another couple of hundred ...
Young people today are driving minivans with more power than many "muscle" cars had back in the day.
Take for example the Honda Odyssey. It makes 280 hp net hp, which is the equivalent of ~350 60's era gross hp.
The van does 0-60 in 6.5 sec and the quarter in the low 15's. That matches/beats a bunch of the V8 "muscle" cars of yesteryear.
We actually had some guy in town that had one (alligator) as a pet...indoor pool where he would live..(people actually swam with the thing)..he owned it legally for years but apparently his permit expired and the authorities confiscated it...
Well, any "pet" that sees people as food that can easily take them out should be banned. Common sense people ...
