So, who do you know that owns these cars, but isn't an enthusiast?

Lol mods or gearhead def doesnt define enthusiast imo. Sure those are ways but certainly not the end all. Plenty of enthusiasts with zero mods. I'm one. Comes down to defining "enthusiast". My definition is someone who is enthused by these cars, knows all the history of their model, constantly learning the stats and is really into their vehicle. I've been on Hellcat forums now for 4 yrs and frequent them daily still. I love the model and am constantly looking for more info. I can tell you most of the differences and stats on the Hellcats in general. I am done wrenching and have zero mods. Cant see NOT owning one and leasing is completely renting imo. I want to own it, depreciation be damned. Dont like car shows/meets, not interested in the social aspect whatsoever. Am I an enthusiast? I still think so.
I would say that everyone on this forum is an enthusiast. That's why we're all here right?

These guys at meets/shows are probably auto enthusiasts, I'll give them that. You kinda have to be to buy/lease something this expensive and to come out to an event. However, hellcat specific enthusiasts? I don't think so. Judging from my experience and what I've come across, these guys don't keep their hellcats for longer than a year when the honeymoon phase is over.

Talked to a dude with a plum crazy charger a while back. He only cared about "707" and the "b*tches" that the car attracts. I wouldn't call that an enthusiast.

I'm not enthusiastic about this car at all. I just use it to mount my snow plow and love the extra power to move that big heavy SOB. All I need now is a rear dually set up and I'm good.

Some of the "enthusiasts" crack me up. I love Hellcats and have been into cars since I was a kid, but I'm not so enthusiastic I'm going to get Hellcat tattoos, wear Hellcat clothing, or decorate my entire house in Hellcat paraphernalia. To me the great thing about a Hellcat is it doesn't need a lot of modifications. If you race it regularly either on a road course or the drag strip that's somewhat different, but for your average weekend warrior who goes to the track a few times a year it's just about perfect off the dealer lot.

Lol the only bitches these cars attract are men. Never once in the last 4 years of owning either my SRT or Hellcat Challenger has anyone other than a guy ever mentioned either car. Chick magnet? Replace the Ch with a D and that’s what I’d call it lol. Just shows that those “enthusiasts” really are clueless.

I've had a few girls interested in it. Reminded me of the old, OLD days when cruising was in sometimes (they were young girls, not my age now). But yes, I agree, primarily it is a dude attractor.

You use the word enthusiast...by your definition..you could very well be Kia owner based on the criteria you speak of...at no point did I hear you mention triple digit blasts down the highway...crazy smoky burnouts...even a tire smokin drift around a corner...or even paddle shifting down stabbing the throttle to let the whole neighborhood that a cat is angry...yet you think your an enthusiast ...just what is it your enthused about?????

Seriously, someone at my wife's job just got a Tesla. She gave my wife and another girl at work a ride in it. My wife was crazy for it, she loved it. OMG.:poop:
did you serve her with papers?

LMAO! I think it might just be you my man

I get a healthy mix of attention from dudes and chicks. Females LOVE the color and how shiny it is, so I've been told. I don't get Ferrari level of attention, but it's enough for a "what is that" double take. Probably because my cat is the same color as their lipstick ;)

I’m definitely an enthusiast.... but had minimal mods (strut bars front and rear, ZL1 tow hooks, wheels/track tires).. all hidden or subtle.... I’m not sure the enthusiast can always be spotted by an outward/visible sign.
Thinking about my own post.... even my Vette fits in to the category of very subtle or not noticeable until close examination.

Unless you’re aware of it, you may not spot my Z06 cooling ducts (mine is a base model).... Big sway bars - can’t see ‘em unless you’ve got it up on a lift.... Big. Big. Brakes - Most wont notice unless taking a close look - red calipers are pretty “normal” these days/385mm six piston vented calipers/pistons - but could still be just stick-on chit if viewed from a distance...... oil cooling - unless you’re carefully examining radiator/grill air intake....

Probably more... just can’t think this early in the morning. But definitely from a distance (or at least 15 feet away) does NOT look like you’re staring at somewhere between $10k and $20k worth of junk glued on. (I refuse to add it up because I’ll probably cry)

Ran into a guy at the track. He was launching it in default. Had his girlfriend with him. Ran low 13’s. I went up to talk to him beforehand and had to walk away. Was like nails on a chalkboard
Damn slow manual transmission cars and their irritating owners.

And by your definition a Kia owner cant be a Kia enthusiast lol. Not sure romping on it equals enthusiast. I think it’s more than just that. Sure I love the triple digit speeds and the fun stuff, but it goes beyond that for me. That’s just a given. I can do that in any muscle car. I think it’s more than that. Maybe just me.

Red may get you more attention lol. Something tells me a red neon would do that too :D
My car is all black and so guys gravitate towards it. Maybe women are like crows with red, “oh look,it’s bright and shiny!”

Am I enthusiastic about the Trackhawk? I dunno. Never even seen one that I know of, or sat in a regular Grand Cherokee. Never gave them any real thought until recently.

But I am enthused about picking mine up next week. Why a Trackhawk? So that I can enjoy the power and blower whine in the winter, too.
And just as importantly, hopefully beat my girlfriend's 911 Turbo S in 0-60.

Does having a Hellcat, a Redeye (my girlfriend's) and a Trackhawk make us enthusiasts?
Probably not in the true sense, but we are both enthusiastically trying to have the faster and/or quicker car.
Isn't that what a relationship is all about?

Let me also state, that I think you can be an enthusiast without modifying or wrenching on your cars. 🍻

I do resent that statement about wearing SRT clothing all the time. 😳😂
I have at present a SRT hoodie, shorts, t shirt and beanie. Same amount of Ford & Corvette apparel too. I love mixing and matching, like wearing my Ford beanie and Corvette hoodie, but driving my SRT's. It throws people off. 😁
