I didn’t come up with anything in the search, and didn’t look at the “other site” but wanted to get some opinions on putting a tune on an otherwise bone stock 19 HC. Has anyone done this? What kind of gains were seen at the track? I had my 16 SRT tuned and it picked up just about 2 tenths and 2mph (DA dependent of course)… 2 tenths on the HC could mean a difference between high and mid 10’s

First question would be, are you willing to void your warranty so soon? A PCM tune will automatically void your warranty.

Another option would be to skip the tune and slip the overdrive pulley on the crank, it think it’s probably better bang/buck.

Even without a tune if you track it they can void the warranty

A full weight hellcat can go 10.0s on a tune and injectors in good air.

Oh but of course it is, like who in their right mind would tune a car while under warranty and take it to the dragway

A 93 octane Diablo tune is worth a solid 25-30 rwhp and .2-.3 and 2-3 MPH gain on an otherwise stock Hellcat.
Plan on needing a set of decent drag radials to see these performance gains ;)

I agree he needs to just go straight to 17 inch wheels with mt etrs don’t waist your money trying to get traction on anything else , I spent plenty on tires and should have just went to the 17s

using the 305/45 MT ET R's now on the Bravado 18x10.. thought about going to a 17 but would have to be 315/55/17 in order to get a bigger sidewall than I have now. I could swap end links but I dont want to mod the wheel well.

IMO even a 20" NT555R on a stock wheel at least gives you a fighting chance, and you can drive on them daily, even in the rain.

Watched a Mustang last week run 9.5X @153 on a 20" Nitto....

I suppose it depends on the track?
I've seen them work plenty of times. Coworkers stock 16 HC went 10.96 in the heat on them a few weeks ago, and drives them daily, in Florida. The Mustang I mentioned went 1.5x to the 60' on them.
I've put 30K miles on a few sets on my Charger SP and I love them in the rain. Not sure what you ran into but all my high HP Florida people seem to love Nittos on the street due to their ability to work in the rain. I also enjoy the ability to go 1.76 to the 60' in my 4400# car.

That said, I almost died on I95 one night in the rain on a set of old Goodyear Radials, and I wouldn't even think about a Mickey in the rain ;)

Bummer. You guys running them in the cold? I don't know. They get a lot of hate, but I often think its because people don't try or work with them to see what they like.
They are by no means the ultimate answer to anything, but, you pull up next to my SP in a HC on stock tires at a red light, and you better hope there's enough room to run me down :)

it was july when I tried ,now don't get me wrong they are a good tire but just not enough for a stock hellcat at the track and you are right on the street youd spank my ass 10 out of 10 times ,mine has to be above 80 just to get traction under wide open throttle on the street

There is a guy that just posted results a few weeks ago. His stock chally hellcat went 11.00 at 125 here in Arizona (1000ish DA).

No other mods besides a custom tune and he went 10.5 at 130 (or 131?)

It might have been a race gas tune though (and pump gas was the 11.0 at 125)

Im running 10.85 at 127 now.. DA from -40 to 500 also ran a 10.86 at 1680 DA but the track prep was perfect that day. 11.1 is typical in higher DA

Was just thinking a tune might be worth it if I can pick up 3 tenths overall. Though now spring is right around the corner and I may just take this season to get more seat time before changing anything.
