Stock is the end of a shock gun when you purchase it at what was Bals Mart.

That wasn't the intent. Just highlighting how slick that people can be when they're trying to gain an edge and that it's just reality. It's natural to be competitive when participating in motorsport, and competitive people tend to be creative.

Just pointing out that if they start putting money up for the "fastest stock demon" that car will be in the 9.30s or 20s and people will be scratching their heads as to how.

Google the F.A.S.T. (Factory Appearing with Stock Tires) racers. You will find at least two factory stock appearing cars running in the 9’s on OE belted tires with stock exhausts and full interiors. A 340 Duster with a Carter AVS 4 bbl running 10’s on F70 belted redline tires. They definitely do not do it for money. It’s all about skill and engineering but it goes to show you that factory stock appearing can be deceiving!

It became pretty obvious when they were the only ones having nitrous backfires thru the carb. Alderman and Scott Geoffrion (RIP).

They never got caught but someone (or them) trashed their speed shop
Then Alderman went to jail for either money laundering or drugs i don't recall.

I do remember one of their cars having a backfire on the line and the announcers were either stupid or covering for them.

They were pretty confident
There was some fairly quick cars back in the 80 s on the streets
These guys would beat everyone by 1 or 2 cars
Small block Vega with 4 wheel lugs
Dam thing had nitrous some place but no one could ever find it
They opened the hood & trunk for people to get a "quick look"
Always left with someones cash

lol, for some folks though it is a major consideration - there are people here who would have never bought the car without the warranty. And I'm cool with that. It's all about priorities and no one set is better than any other.

Warranties expire.
Its why i chuckle when people have issues with modding their cars because of "warranty"
Now if its your only car, then probably shouldn't be modifying it. But if its a toy or a 3rd or 4th car, who cares? Warranty turns to company revenue if its not used up. FCA has to be loving all those garage queen Demons right now.
