Full disclosure. I did this run on the street at 2am in the morning. Gandy Bridge from St Pete to Tampa to check for LEO, then u-turn it for the run back. Absolutely no traffic.

It was effortless to get to that speed and brake down to be 55mph-ish by the time I was off bridge. Length of bridge is 5 miles.

Hit a number close on Howard Frankland last weekend. Empty bridges are great!

You're not gonna go much faster where I live. St Pete City grid. 45mph max limit and lights every 1/2 mile. Interstate I-275 way too busy(and curvy). The Gandy is the only place to get a run and Florida Highway Patrol knows it and hangs out there regularly.

I'd have to go way outta town or the proverbial "take it to the track" like Sebring for a safe and legal run.

Try upper deck of crosstown on way to Brandon. You don’t have to go far.

As already said, these things can do jail time in a matter of seconds. I kinda got use to this when I first got my YZFR1. it will get you in jail and not come out of first gear! Crazy performance we have these days.

Ros co Indian Shores, Fl. That Bryan Dairy Rd bit ga the last time. Gandy Bridge is good except on the week ends when the rice rockets get out there and the troopas use their copter to get cha. During the week you got it. Vette I did 145 and start thin ka about tires. Rice rockets on the week ends black out their tags and wear hel mants then the copter coms in and they get cha 5 miles ova the bridge. Sittin waiting on ya. Jail, vehicle towed in, and a cout date. License suspended. Best thing Rico de cola is have a spotter out in front run in 75 mph and using a scrambler, detector, and I am there fer ya. Just let me know. Car will be ready by Thursday and I will run smokey fer ya. Good bridge.

Don't trust my drag radials to go higher than 150 mph. There are a TON of LEO's out and about all hours of the day and night to even attempt anything like this. Kudos to you guys going over 150!

There are, maybe they are more accurate now but last one I tried on a IPhone 6 wasn’t. At that time phones only had a 1hz GPS unit which just was not quick enough for repeat times any better then .3-.5 seconds. I‘be used Gtech products for over 10 years, latest is very accurate, verified many times to be within+/- .005 seconds of track timers, that unit is the Gtech Pro SS about $299 I think, Summit has them

Yes, it is not top speed but how fast you go from point A to point B. But if you want to go 160, I am sure the car will do it.

My run the other night was 0-184 in 22 seconds, 11.6 1/4 along the way, M6 rev limiter ended the run in 5th at 194
Front tire could have ended my life as well, this was the insides of it Saturday am when I had the new ones mounted

I do allot of half mile racing also, I just like to race. Going for high speed is cool for sure. But accomplishing that high speed in a measured distance either 1/4 or 1/2 mile is the way to go

high speed shows very little about how fast your car is.
