Rumor has it that original Demon owners have been getting VIP invites to this event and they just might be getting first dibs on this car like I think @DRAGRCR had speculated about some time ago?
I have only heard rumors. I also resently heard you actually have to have ordered the car yourself. So if you bought from dealer stock new you do not qualify.

I won’t post the actual email (from Tim k) but his quote essentially said to NOT conflate being VIP invited with “you will definitely have an opportunity to get one of these cars”. He also mentioned that the number to be built hasn’t been shared publicly yet so “ people should probably avoid making assumptions”…

Fun thymes ahead! 🤪

My guess is that they are going to make a lot more than 300 Cars. I am thinking between 1000 and 3300. There is WAY too much going on for just 300 Cars.

I agree with how many wheels they were ordering

I am leaning that way too, especially since Tim went out of his way (unprompted) to mention being careful about the number to be built. I am sure he has heard the rumblings of 300 too. I can understand why given the production numbers for the previous 6 FE cars.

I'll add this. If they do a bigger number like 1500 then Dodge -could- go the original Demon owner route. I'd bet there are somewhere in the 1000-1500 range of guys who still have their original Demons. Now, do they -want- to go that route is another question entirely. With S.C. ICE going away in less than 12 months Dodge may want to "reward" their best dealerships with a nice, fat (super high ADM) parting gift...

Meh, it's just gotten silly but Dodge has done weird stuff for as long as I've been around them so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Catering to Demon owners is petting egos, but I guess they have to since it won't be top dog anymore and they don't want more back lash like they've gotten from the HC Durango debacle.

Some of you guys are a lot more brand loyal than I am, so maybe I just don't get it but leprechauns with yellow IVs, secret lists with dealers, etc for a car of all things just goes against my grain. I could probably get one of these if I really wanted one (I have a connection), and I just don't want one, at least not with what's currently known. I could have bought a Demon I personally spec'd and didn't want that either. I drive my cars and could care less about collector items. I had a phone conversation with someone who would know what this car would be and I was told we'd be impressed "if they can pull it off". Once the delays started I figure it's going to be less than what was originally planned.

Anyone else starting to hear rumors that the V8s aren't really going away and that the next iteration is in current development? I've seen that floating around too and that for sure wouldn't surprise me based on Dodge's history of doing stuff like this.

Sounds like I'll still be over 100k ahead just tossing a 426, sipple trans and a couple of Shanghai Spoolybois in.

Absolutely f%&k this s&@tshow.

What about a 3-year lease with an option to buy?

I can bet it will be a closed end with a tiny residual value.

I think they are heavily contemplating going hybrid for a few years, like chevy did. And that would be fine w me. I always wanted a Hellcat w AWD via a hub motor type set up.

Kissing up to the collectors is a good way to get me to leave.

I hope they do it like the 392 300.
Put a reserve system online.
Every dealer by me was awarded one and I had my chance to scoop up at least 4 of them if I wanted.

I really like what Chevy did with the ERay Vette.
Make the Hellephant get 30 whatever MPG required to pass Cafe and go with it!

I just added 37 more to my fleet for less than half what the leprechaun will cost.

Initially I wanted one to go with my first year Hellcat and first year Redeye but, that 69 Charger is just a dream I can not let go.
