never ceases to amaze me how people drive in close quarters with commercial vehicles...if they only realized how limited trucks are to take evasive action..and stopping distances...in a car or light vehicle..your at peril..
I agree the granny (right lane) can be faster. It's also awesome to have a car that can pull out from behind a Big Truck at 60mph and pass the front of the truck doing well into the triple digits Also the shoulder is a good escape route.
I get it...CDL driver from mid 70's to mid 80's..route driver in the Northeast in all kinds of weather..motorcycle endorsement since 76...never without a bike since 1976...yup..I hear ya..
