Hellcat vs C8 Dig & 40 roll

I saw my first C8 today at a cruise in today. I was not impressed.

It's a nice car, but not a corvette. Descendant of old NSX, carbon copy of the current NSX. But the argument is that, much like fighter planes, they all end up looking very similar because the physical forces they have to deal with (and the layout constraints that places upon them) converge on a single form. Doesn't mean I have to like that form.

Will pay $50 to see Cadillac crash into that C8 at about 80 mph. My guess, folks in C8 come out better than folks in land yacht. But still would like to see it happen.

To get in and out is a pain and the seats suck but the car does drive very smooth. Every time I drive it I am amazed how nice the ride is compared to the cat. The vette is pretty stiff and low but yet dont feel any of our F-up roads compared to the cat which is surprising. But yes there is no comparison in power... unless you are in the ZR1 which is an absolute beast!

But I still would rather own a cat than a ZR1.

I am intersted in seeing if the redesign has any impact on the perceived prevalence of dickheads for the Corvette that some many folks talk about. I personally have found that many people in Corvettes have had no other sports cars and even may not be interested in them at all. The car is just a life goal, or check in a box for them, and for some reasons some (by no means all) tend to be rather full of themselves. Logic says the redesign will not matter to those folks as they did not buy the car for its looks to begin with.

I, I am sorry to say, would not have bought the HC if it had looked like a Pacer. I truly think that the Charger version is a damn nice looking car. But I obviously am not driven solely by that, given the other cars I have.

Wow folks with stock Hellcats best leave those C8s to us modded folks.

Love my Hellcat and if only one its gonna be it, but a C8 might replace my Camaro. I need to rent one for a weekend.

I speak from experience...the most amazing thing...(and to me disconcerting)..in street mode...YOU CANNOT HER THAT ENGINE IN THE COCKPIT..I get the engine placement dynamic...but they did an amazing job of sound proofing the car
