It's making everything off shore. They do not lower prices when they do that. They just increase margins, and are fine with increased failure rates. I've posted about all that I was directly involved in ~ 20 years ago.
If you look at the 50s for example, corporate profit margins were around 7 % or so (and they did famously). Now, we're looking at what, 12 to 13 last I looked. This is not sustainable, and is the product of loss of manufacturing jobs. Turning a lump of ore into a steel beam is adding / creating value. Cooking a mcdonalds hamburger or making money with Tesla's stock is quite different.
