Today we pay remembrance to my DSS one-piece. Born September 29th to @fumanchu182 and @HighHorseman . A resident of MIR, Cecil and Capitol, the drive shaft is survived by a 2015 Hellcat, 2016 Dodge ram and the drive shaft shop. The driveshaft was a ardent supporter of burnouts and quarter mile passes for three race seasons. Viewing services will be available till 3/13 when recycling will collect. 🫡 🇺🇸​

However super easy install. The hoop was damaged so ill be ordering another one soon. Better it than my undercarriage.

Only way it would be out of measurement would be if they made it wrong. So they want you to check their work

Just put a new boot on it. Junk

Checked the logs, everything is good, got out of it at 22mph/6200 rpm, engine didn't spin past that so not going to worry about the trans. Axles are still in and they will enjoy every fucking second of beatings I give them and then when they go. The bigguns are on deck..

I would put those in and keep the others as backups or sell them. Once you break them at the track it will be another inconvenience

Didn’t realize that was a new one I wouldn’t have put another DSS but that’s just me, I’ve had 2 that have gone out of balance on me, 1 is still on my shelf. Zero issues with Redeye driveshaft and I’m not sure many people have broke them. I’m going to get the replaceable carrier bearing eventually

I've broken one red-eye and one regular hellcat one. In fact the red-eye one is sitting in my shed. Carrier bearing went boom.

40 and above. When I say out of balance I mean literally violently shaking the entire car making a noise you can’t yell above.

I've broken one red-eye and one regular hellcat one. In fact the red-eye one is sitting in my shed. Carrier bearing went boom.

The actual connection or just the rubber. They have a fix for that now. I meant broken at the cvs or twisted them

Running mid 9s and slower probably fine. Will be interesting to see what car 7 has with its 1.29 60 ft

not many cutting a 1.2 60’ lol and I’d hope you have more than an aftermarket driveshaft for that. I’ll never do DSS again. Wiles only

My thought on all the imbalance of the aluminum shaft i think is installation. In the trans they fit real tight why they are a pain to get them out. If it isn't in all the way or tilted a little bit I could see the bolts still going in and causing a vibration. Saw the same thing with the late model mustang

Nope but once you make more power then what the part was intended to do you look for something stronger. All the 1 peice shafts are rated for more hp then the stock one

I have the exact same issue but only after 120. Scared the devil out of me.
