They are close to us. I believe I've seen that listing and it's come down as well.
it's the cheapest after a 5 minute search.

Yep they check all the boxes for us (wife). Might jump on one if the opportunity presents itself.

Dang. If the mileage was reasonably low I would've been tempted.

I could use a beater car. Umm, yet another beater car.

Okay, I really don't, but for $2K...Then again, it's probably better to save some money for the Pete I bought and will have to pay the balance on in about two months.

No, I sold that one a while back.

Time to get a more capable tow vehicle again. And with a sleeper. Seems like I can't quite handle those 1,600+ mile drives without stopping along the way anymore. Last time I had to give up within a few hundred miles of home.

Yeah I mean compared to the rest of the brand new SUV market, the Hellcat Durango is a $100k vehicle easy. I would be thrilled to get one at $75
Compared to others, its the only one with an engine I trust.

GM - lifters and bearings issues.
Toyota - hybrid V6 seems to have issues. Neighbor dumped his in favor of a nonhybrid. The Sequoia is unfortunately only available as a hybrid
Ford - cam phasers. Supposedly updated in this newest generation of Ecoboost but we shall see.
Jeep - Hurricane thermostats

Wife really likes the new 25 Fords so that might be the way we go.
But I am pushing her towards a Durango because the Hemis have never given me any issues and I've had a few now. Couple of them over 150k that only ever needed water pumps, plugs, and alternators.
Jeep just needs to put the Hellcat in the Wagoneer!

Wife drives an 07 Aspen
Next to my 13 Ram, the most reliable fucking vehicle I have ever owned.

My 21 Jeep and my buddies Jeep 3.6s are starting to have issues under 70k miles. He needed his head rebuilt. Mine is starting to make noise. WTF junk is this?
And GM has been building pushrod V8s for 60+ years. No reason to have any issues but its the luck of the draw if you get one without. And now they have made tuning such a pain in the ass, its expensive to just "hot rod" it to make it reliable.

New cars are complete trash.
I'm ready to buy a 2013 Suburban from Arizona and drive that for the next 20 years

So many of them are up around $100k or over, and anything else with a mega-engine is way over $100k it seems. Weird economic time though, having money and being able to purchase will become an increasingly advantageous position I think, may be wise to try to hold out for a bit.

i had a 5.7 at 50k miles with lifter failure. It’s a roll of the dice with 2020+

exactly where I'm going. preferably pre covid, but 2012 and back seems to be the best choice to me.

Buddy is having the 5.0 in his ‘18 F150 replaced due to excessive oil consumption, under extended warranty @50k. Excessive is nothing on the stick between changes. My Whippled 5.0 has been great, but only 36k on the clock.
