I am Chinese, and I have government-issued identification.
In China, the common gasoline grades are 92#(≈ US 87#) , 95#(≈ US 80-90#), and 98#(≈ US 93#). It is very easy to obtain 98# gasoline (which is equivalent to 93# gasoline in the U.S.) in developed regions and cities. However, in some remote areas, accessing 98# gasoline can be relatively difficult. For daily needs, 92#(87#) and 95#(80-90#) gasoline are more than sufficient.
Totally understandable....as you spend more time here ..you will realize..there are more than a few "melon heads" (no Chinese translation) here that have no command of the English language as well
