Today I am going to change the oil. That will work through May and it’s first racing weekend at RA May 6-7, then I’ll drop it again and use that oil for my summer pleasure cruising, before I decide where to abuse it on a track somewhere later this summer.

Sent a sample off to Blackstone also. Just want to check its general health. This engine has 8500 miles on it now. It has got pretty warm a few times before we lifted the damn cats and fixed the tune to stop that. This oil change should be a good one for the beginning of next year now. No more stupid high temps for the girl.

Me too, because of two things, it was Mobil oil and it got hot a few times. It looked spent. 3500 miles worth. Glad i changed it. If it is not bad, it supports what we all think about these engines being bad ass tolerant to us.

Put it to bed to hibernate for the winter, on way into work this morning I saw the classic road prep stripes and I am not talking track prep for traction.
