Thanks. It was a money pit too! My neighbor and I got a crazy idea one evening. It scared me so bad blowing the doors off this ZR1 is when it got sold. Never raced anything “known” until that night. We always suspected it was goofy, but damn was it light and quick, finally confirmed! I wanted to live. Started buying the Hellcats.

Re-bled my brakes after swapping out the fluid and doing a poor job a few weeks back. Now super firm with Motul 5.1. Summer fronts and Bogart 17x10’s in the rear bolted up for summer fun while I had it up on the Quick Jacks.

Put on new lip (the dodge engineers that made these from bumpers are horrible people), and installed rivnuts to screw on the lip instead of the plastic river junk

Brought the car home Friday and it only got to 37 yesterday so waiting until today to change the oil. The oil filter decided it didn't want to come off. I only had plastic cap wrenches and they were spinning so had to go get a metal one. I thought about doing that before guess I should of. Drove most of the 93 out of the car and put in some e85 in (well e75 testing lower then normal)

Here is how much oil is in the cooler about 7 ounces

I have a Coker cap for the oil filter from Amazon I love it fits the white Mopar filters perfectly

I have never had an issue. I must have tightened it a little to much. I have a steel one now

My time to get rid of it bike was a Kawasaki GPz 750 turbo. Super quick for its time, convinced me i wasnt as bulletproof as i thought.

Almost everyone that did their first oil change said the factory put it on way too tight. So a lot of us used this filter removal tool. Amazon said there’s only 7 left right now too. But there’s other ones, same style.

Swapped over the the race wheels to head to a local event…ended up raining all day. 😒

I got the SRT performance spoiler put on Friday. I love the low long look of it off the back of the car.

That’s cool.

I bought my Hellcat last June and changed the oil a few times already. Lol. I only needed the 3 finger tool for the factory installed filter that was over tightened and probably the gasket wasn’t lubed.
‘Now I use the Cap filter tool with a 3/8 drive ratchet and extension.

I didn’t have any issues getting the filter off on the first oil change but the gasket did stick to the block. 😲

One route home from the gun club takes me through Exeter Academy. It is 25mph with several crosswalks and I often need to stop to let pedistrians by. It was busy today, maybe prospects visiting? Waited for 3 groups to pass, like usual, everyone walks by with blinders on, except for one student today, couldn’t take his eyes off the car! Another incident of “there might still be some hope for the youth of today”. If it’s wasn’t Exeter, 25mph, 1 block from the PD dept, I would have done a smoke show for the kid.
