Our neighbor was a Chrysler-Plymouth dealer. It started for me about 1964. My dad ordered a 64 Fury wagon with the 383 Police Interceptor pkg.

I really liked imports. 2jz holds a special place in my heart. Then I bought my 2013 Super Bee and have never looked back. It was a good run RIP Stellantis.

Kinda, I still want a restored 2nd gen Z28, preferably a 1980 manual w T-tops
I've had about a dozen over the years and want one to keep along with my Super Stock.

Not mine but exactly like my last one that I still miss. Sold it in 2006
Still have an extra set of N90 wheels
Wife's willing to fly somewhere and drive one home if we find the right one.

GM guy here, ‘68 Olds 442, ‘75 Pontiac T/A, first car ‘66 Buick. Never owned a Chevy however. Bought my ‘71 Roadrunner in ‘83 or so and never looked back.

First new car, '79 Z28, close ratio 4sp. Looked like this but I had the turbine alum wheels. Top speed about 115. A real blast to drive considering it was only about 175hp. Could do a u-turn on a 2 lane road no prob. Light it up and do a 180 and hardly move!
Z28.jpg
Then '85 Vette, first year of Tuned Port Injection, mfr claimed 150mph, never tested the limit. Great car but was soon outclassed in hp.
85Vette.jpg
Then, best cat I ever owned, 2004 GTO M6, absolute blast to drive! Comfortable, fun, economical, just had a tiny trunk. I often regret selling it. Put nicer wheels on and took off the huge stupid spoiler. Only reason I sold it was because I bought the HC.

Yeah, I like GM products, but these days, they all suck. If you think differently, please tell me, I really want to find a company that produces new cars that aren't so intelligent that they are stupid!

My father had a body shop, he and his partner only drove Mopars, mostly 383's, Newports, wagons, some 318's. He liked them because he never liked working on his own cars, these V8 Mopars, especially the 383, would go for almost forever without a tune-up!

I hated those overweight beasts that were not very fast, couldn't stop or make a turn! Probably why I became a GM guy.

My grandfather had Studebakers before buying Dodges and Chryslers.

Both of my grandfather's died at a young age. One was a gambler who disappeared.

Yeah, I wanted to keep my old Silverado and Wrangler TJ also, but they were so rusted that thy were a progressing nightmare. The GTO on the other hand, was in good shape. At 140k it was about due for a clutch, clutch slave cylinder, synchros, and there was the worry about future parts availability. Seemed like letting go was the right thing.
