However, I was too tired last night to realize that you saved $400 by switching, and how that compares for me.
Those $400 you saved pays for almost 10 months for me. Seems that you used to pay an awful lot, and now you're just paying a lot.

I was paying $1,400 @ State Farm per year. multi car and house.discounts. and $1,000 @ Grundy with agreed value.

Yeah, $1K with Grundy sounds about like what they quoted me, too. But I prefer the 0.5K and change I'm paying. I also have multi car and the house, by the way.

Almost three times as much for the same vehicle, with the same company. That's nuts.

None. and i'm the only driver. I think it has more to do with where you live than anything else. A lot of poor drivers in this state.

Yes, location can make a big difference, but that big?

Sure, it's a lot cheaper here than it was in L.A. county, but one zip code away and it'd been even less than here. And that's with a fair amount of uninsured drivers.
