No issue with availability I assume.
I didn't buy nittos back then if that is what you are asking. Bought some cheaper tires. The nittos are almost $800 and being a daily driver I'm getting about 1.5 summers out of them. I did write it down when they were put on and it looks like I got 11k out of them. I also got 11k out of the 1st set but they looked a little more worn ( I still have them ) I didn't bring the tires home with me today being on the edge my tire guy said he wouldn't patch it. I have another set of wheels and have thought I may throw them on those and take them to Indy and try to win another $1000 with the Challenger

I'm a little more risk prone, but despite it being near the shoulder, I would have plugged it and called it a day, but I respect the path you took too.

Took mine out to a local show along with my brother in law who just picked up his ‘18 White Knuckle M6 earlier this week, bought with 9.2k miles! Love to post a pic but my 1 bar having, shit sucking T-Mobile service just won’t permit it at this time. Edited to add pic as I get slightly better reception at work:

Low tire came on when I was leaving this morning. Tire was at 25 psi and found the nail. They needed to be replaced but was trying to make it to the nmca race to use on challenger which we did and won $1000. I had bought a set tires in the spring to replace them. My tire place got me in tonight View attachment 111944 View attachment 111945
I had the Nittos taken off of the Charger today. I was rolling 1 of the tires into the garage and I saw a nail or screw in it. Luckily it didn't go down when we were in Georgia.

They were done and only reason to fix it was to put on other wheels if I needed them. Being a still have the older set I can use those. I told him what I would be using the tires for and he said if it were toward the center more he would patch it.

Last week I picked up a pair of lightly used wheels with MT DR's, tried them out last night. With the stock RE I did 10.890 @ 127.71 and 10.844 @ 125.60 (hey, I'm a know-nothing novice at the dragway!), had pretty bad vibration. One wheel weight was missing and after 2 passes the tires slipped more than 1" on the wheels. I'll get them balanced and try again. I think I was losing speed at the top end from the vibration.

Yea, it's usually a10.50 car in the 130s. Possibly heat?

Are you talking 10.5 using Launch Control? That would be understandable. I was just pedaling it. Be gentle, I'm new!

No launch control. Just load up the driveline and push it to the floor.

I just floor it. 9.8 @ 142. Should be faster with the 3.09. (Better 60’) and once I get an ice tank to keep temps down

I can see why you'd want the 1/4 to go by quicker. Noisy gears are no fun, so the sooner you're done the better.

Hey, that gear was in my car and it never missed a beat. Noisy but it works.

But did your passengers also don't mind the (needless) noise?

Doesn't sound (no pun intended) as a lucrative business model for a taxi.

Fortunately it's a hobby.
