You have a 2015 don’t you jroc? What are everyone’s thoughts about back comsostibilitt on something pre 2018 (or is it later than 2018?)?
It definitely goes into the PCM for a reason, I do think it supplies data I just don't think we have figured out quite how the tune works yet.

Warranty wise I can't see them running it inferred. I know a lot of tuners will do inferred flex tunes but that never sat right with me, and when my tuner said yeah I can give you a flex tune but don't race the car on it, that just confirmed my uneasyness about racing on a flex tune.

If they were just using the sensor to display ethanol content, they could have done that with inferred and no sensor. My HPT logs from the old car on inferred showed E content % in them.

I'm betting the sensor feeds the computer ethanol content and it then uses that value for the flex fuel calcs which are basically the same, only now the E content is a measured value rather than inferred.

This is the likely scenario. I was more joking about using it just to display content. Hopefully we can get this set up to work on all cars.

Yeah mine is a 2015, our thought process is anyone running a pre 2018 car would have to run a 2018+ PCM.

@Speedy! , does your rear bumper have the cutout behind the license plate for the parachute?

Is the whole flex fuel thing supposed to be available thru direct connect? Can that be fitted onto other platforms?

The parachute kit from DC comes with a template for the cutout - must be done by owner/installer from what I have seen

I believe the Rear Fascia needs to come off to mount the hardware also

I’m just putting an actual sensor in my car so I do t have to test fuel anymore. Swap tunes and be done with it

You still should test at least once in a while at your trusted station but also every time you fill up at a station you don't normally use.

There is one station that I go to that is just a little over 2 hours away where I've never had a single batch test under 82% and clean. But I still test it because now I pick it up in 55 gallon batches

Very true, I’m a complete n00b and have never done this before 😉 (we have e85 at every race trac gas station here)

If you have a sensor why test besides for clarity? Fill it, swap a tune and go. Been on e85 for over 40k miles

Cool. My sensor says 80%. *loads spicy tune*

Why is piston number 7 sitting in my lap? What? Junk fuel? Impossible!

I dunno why I'd test periodically. But a 10-30k motor sounds like a good one to me?

Are you flex fuel or do you just swap E85 tunes depending on the ethanol %?
